Systems Engineer

Specifically, CTSi is involved in the development of several products and technologies being leveraged for the Automatic Aerial Refueling Programs. CTSi is seeking a Systems Engineer / Project Engineer with advanced avionics development experience to lead these efforts from prototype to production. For this role, the candidate must be able to work well in a fast-paced team environment, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivering high quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team to perform technical execution, technical risk management, requirements management for an Optical Reference System.
  • Serve as the interface to the Program Manager and Integrated Program Team (IPT) leads to coordinate sub-team technical and programmatic status and issues
  • Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development, Engineering test design and development
  • Develop system documents including but not limited to system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Hardware Requirements Specification, Design Specification, Software Test Plan and Procedures for Software/System Requirement Verification, Hardware Verification Test Plan and Procedures.
  • Lead system integration Failure Modes and Root Cause analysis and issue resolution (e.g., FMEA, RCCA)
  • Lead system design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs) with internal and external customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain, at a minimum, a DoD SECRET level clearance.

Education/Certifications:

  • BS in Engineering.
  • Experience with system integration and flight testing.
  • Experience with Tactical Aircraft or Unmanned systems.
  • Experience with product development.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of System Engineering / Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer interfacing and developing customer relationships.

U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Candidate must have the ability to work in a team environment; provide constructive alternatives/approaches to solving issues; be flexible; have a strong sense of urgency for critical tasks; and must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing schedule and communicating process.
