Web Designer

Coherent Technical Services Inc.(CTSi), a national leader specializing in high-tech solutions and services, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Web Application Development Division. The division's services offered range from initial web concept, discovery, and design, to development and post deployment maintenance. The team's development capabilities extend beyond traditional web development, to also include mobile web site and application development, as well as services extending further into intranet and cloud based solutions. The web development team's experience is wide and varied. Along with an expansive portfolio of corporate and government experience, the team is highly skilled in offering solutions and understanding the unique needs of the non-profit and performing arts industry as expressed on the web.
Candidate must provide a portfolio of web related design work for review as part of the interview process.

Education

Experience

• CTSi is seeking a full-time, talented individual who is hard working, passionate, and creative to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the development team with all web design related responsibilities from concept to completion. General tasks will involve but not be limited to the following:
• Client meetings in order to discuss and assess design requests
• Development of initial design comps and management of design revisions
• Development of supporting template imagery, HTML, and CSS
• Assist web application developers with any creative needs
• Assisting in the deployment of copy and related formatting
• Development of various static and dynamic Flash applications in action script
• Management of design timeline and project tracking
• Construct and perform browser testing procedures and focus groups
• A clear understanding of user interface design for eCommerce based web sites critical. Design work will include professional and corporate models to artistic and creative themes. A self-starter with strong organizational and self-management skills and a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and HTML/CSS highly desired. Candidate may be required to assist with project management, as well as delegate work to other developers as the project needs dictate.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in web design and HTML/CSS programming
• Strong understanding of the latest HTML and CSS standards
• Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Must possess strong editing, proofing, organizational, and presentation skills
• General understanding of search engine optimization and ADA standards
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in web design and HTML/CSS programming
