Sr. Test and Evaluation Engineer

CTSI has an immediate opportunity opening for a Senior Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer. The successful candidate will assist the Navy customer by planning, coordinating, executing, and analyzing the test program for several NAVAIR programs. This testing will be primarily located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and on board an Aircraft Carrier (CVN) or LH type ship. The candidate will be responsible for the following: Support the lead government T&E IPT engineer for this T & E program. Coordinate with the government customer and participate with prime contractor, support contractors, and other government agencies involved to complete all aspects of the Testing. Support test planning and analysis working groups; writing test plans, procedures, and other documentation; preparation and review of detailed specifications, integration of different equipment and software being developed by the various test team participants; execution of testing; post-test data analysis; test reporting; as well as test process development and improvement, and any training required to execute or support test and evaluation activities.

Duties include the following: System Architecture Drawings, Analysis plans and reports. Support development of engineering procedures and controls, participate in management of test project efforts, and assist with problem resolution.

Successful candidate will have experience with test and evaluation of shipboard systems, including those used to support air traffic control and landing system functions, data analysis skills, T&E experience, and knowledge of Aircraft Carrier landing systems and Carrier Controlled Area (CCA) flight operations.

Qualifications Required Experience: The ideal candidate will possess 7 or more years of related experience with shipboard air traffic control, navigation, and/or shipboard approach and landing systems.
Desired Experience: Detailed knowledge of shipboard air traffic control and landing systems used to support Navy carrier flight operations.

Education

BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field (MS or PhD preferred).

Experience

  • This position requires 7 years of engineering experience primarily in the T&E area. Experience with T&E of large, multi-organization programs.
  • Comprehensive test planning and analysis experience.
  • At least 4 years experience as an Integrated Project Team (IPT) leader performing test engineering or management functions.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in the area of development, test, and evaluation of electronic and shipboard systems and subsystems.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.
  • U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.
  • Be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
