Systems Engineer/Army Business Development Specialist

Coherent Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to specialize in the development and marketing of innovative technologies to the US Army. The individual will have two main job responsibilities: support ongoing systems engineering efforts for internally developed products and strategically market internally developed products to the military with a focus on US Army ground systems.

The individual will develop and maintain system requirements, provide analytical, acquisition, and technical engineering support under various DoD contracts. The individual will assist in the system design, development, implementation, and test activities related to engineering of functional requirements for complex software, hardware and associated support systems.

The individual will identify new business opportunities and develop and execute plans in pursuit of those opportunities that are consistent with the strategic direction for the company. The individual will create and execute business development plans for Army tracked and wheeled vehicles and support business development of aviation related technology efforts. The individual will establish customer and industry relationships to explore potential partnerships, create new capabilities, and increase market share in order to enter new markets and opportunities.

Education

The position requires a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in an engineering, scientific, or business discipline.

Experience

• Professional experience working with Army material acquisition or testing is required.
• Professional experience related to Army tracked and wheeled vehicles is desired.
• Prior Army military service is desired.
• A total of at least 10 years of professional engineering and/or business experience, with a minimum of 5 years supporting Army material development, acquisition, or test is required.
