USAF SBIR Contract Win

February 9th, 2012

The US Air Force has awarded CTSi a $150,000 Phase I SBIR contract to design and develop a ruggedized acoustical detection and tracking system. This system will produce an acoustical activity map identifying frequencies emitted and the locations of those emissions for endangered and sensitive species. This system will allow the Air Force to meet their Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). The primary purpose of the INRMP is to use adaptive ecosystem management strategies to protect and administer the base's natural resources in concert with the military mission. Preventing sensitive species from becoming listed species greatly lessens the impacts to the mission.
