Aviation Upgrades Manager

CTSi is seeking a Program Manager with a strong avionics development and/or integration background and with NAVAIR or NAWCAD experience.

Provide analytical, acquisition and technical engineering support under various DOD contracts. Provide leadership and support in areas within the entire systems engineering lifecycle. This position will require the development and maintenance of strong business relationships with decision makers across DoD and other Federal agencies. Candidates at this level will set strategy and lead proposal efforts for avionics production, integration, and installation for a variety of aircraft types.

The ideal candidate will have a background that clearly demonstrates their ability to successfully manage and win strategic aircraft upgrades and avionics development programs Will be expected to write responses to RFI’s, Sources Sought, and RFP’s from government and commercial customers. Builds/modifies briefings and other executive level documents/products using Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint. Reaches out to “subject area experts” for briefing/background information. Prepares issue/background papers and may brief senior staff on program-related topics.


Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field desired


Also total of at least 10 years of professional engineering experience that consisted of performing the systems engineering functions.

Superior interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers and teammates during periods of high stress and tight deadlines.

Current DOD security clearance.
