Help Desk Support Specialist, Junior

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone call, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Builds relationship with customers in support of their IT needs.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Identifies the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to user’s computer problems.
  • Provides user support for the selection of application software.
  • Provides assistance and support for the selection of hardware and peripheral computer equipment.
  • Provides assistance and support for the download, installation, configuration and/or set-up of user applications.
  • Troubleshoots user hardware and software problems.
  • Maintains printers, scanners, and backup and restoration systems.
  • Maintains help desk and support tracking records.  

Education/Certifications:

  • AA degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Security +
  • Comply within 12-months at the IAT Level I baseline certifications as defined in DOD 8140 and 8570 directives.

Experience:

  • A total of (3) years of experience performing the foregoing duties and responsibilities.

Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF):  The contractor performing Information Assurance (IA) functions that are designated as Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) positions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program shall be trained and certified in accordance with DFARS Clause 252.239-7001, Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification (IACT&C), and DoD 8570.01-M Series.
