Coherent Technical Services, Inc. (CTSi) is seeking Senior Software Engineer for an exciting new program for Class 1 railroads.  

We are looking for a talented SW Engineers who wants to make a big difference and contribute to developing and fielding state-of-the-art sensor platforms for railroad technology driven operations. In this role, you will work alongside experts in various scientific and engineering disciplines to develop an integrate selected sensors (Electro-Optical, radar, LWIR, etc.) with object detecting and classifying image processing algorithms into a software framework architecture for clear right away and safe locomotive operations.  

This position is in support of our Technology Driven Operations organization located in San Diego. The successful candidate will reside or be willing to relocate to San Diego.

Experience:

• 10 years’ experience in Software Development and demonstrated expertise in Software Engineering and Architecture practices.
• Experienced with Software/Hardware integration techniques
• Experienced in both procedural and object-oriented computer programming languages and techniques (typically C, C++, and Java)
• Experience with NVIDIA software development kits (Rivermax, TensorRT, Deepstream) to improves the performance of data transfers between the CPU and GPU, inference performance of neural networks and turnkey image processing applications.
• CM tools (SVN, GIT, Confluence, JIRA).
• Ability to work individually and on team projects in an environment of teamwork and cooperation.
• Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in Computer Science.
