Systems Engineer

Our engineering team supporting a DARPA program has an immediate opening for several Senior/Mid-level Systems Engineers. The positions are located at a CTSi headquarters in Southern Maryland in support of an aircraft avionics integration effort for this program. This is a technical position for a new embedded system design integrating into an existing aircraft avionics environment. The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate system design information to a large spectrum of engineering disciplines, as well as customers at all leadership levels. The preference is the successful candidates would be willing to work full time in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, however, under the right circumstance, consideration for the possibility of remote work will be considered. In addition, the successful candidate will either possess, or be eligible to receive, a Secret security clearance.

Education/Certifications:

  • BS degree (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE) from an ABET accredited engineering program.

Experience:

  • System architecture & design, including documentation / artifact capture.
  • Requirements management, including capture, decomposition, & tracing.
  • System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) event coordination, preparation, & presentation.
  • Understand the RFM process to successfully gain an ATO for the avionics systems to be integrated
  • Understand TCDS, MLS, MILS and how to use and get them approved them
  • Understand IP Datalink, Link-16
  • Understand RTOS, OMS, UCI, 1553, Ethernet
  • System integration & testing.
  • Change Request / Change Management (CR/CM) techniques & processes.
  • Prior experience performing detailed analysis and preparing for Design Reviews
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
