Coherent Technical Services, Inc. (CTSi) is seeking a full-time entry level Electrical Engineer to support aerospace and defense programs including aircraft system integration, schematic development, and printed circuit board design. The engineer will contribute to both new and existing projects involving signal and power routing, cable design, aircraft schematic interpretation, and PCB development and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop system-level electrical schematics for aircraft and ground-based systems.
- Design and document cable fabrication drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Interpret and generate aircraft electrical schematics and power distribution architectures.
- Develop PCB designs from schematic capture through fabrication package (Gerbers, BOMs, etc.).
- Conduct electrical integration and testing of system prototypes and production systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to ensure complete system integration.
Required Tools & Software:
- AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
- OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 1 Year of Printed Circuit Board development
- Proficient in analog and digital design, including signal and power requirements.
- Knowledgeable in DC-DC converters, op-amp circuits, filters, and signal integrity.
- Experience creating and managing schematic and PCB libraries, BOMs, and fabrication outputs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills (Preferred but not Required):
- Experience with aircraft wiring and harnessing standards.
- Familiarity with signal and power routing best practices in airborne systems.
- Understanding of high-speed digital interfaces, EMI mitigation, and grounding/shielding techniques.
Security Clearance:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Active clearance preferred.
