The CV-22 Expeditionary Lighting Kit (ELK) – designed by CTSi engineers and fabricated in-house – is a battery-powered kit that provides supplementary cargo area lighting for special operations missions.

Operators can select white, NVG-compatible green, or infrared lighting, controlling both the lighting mode and intensity in four cargo area zones (forward, mid, aft, and ramp). Ceiling- and mid-level lights are fully articulated to provide custom illumination. The kit provides a minimum of four hours of full lighting performance.

The CV-22 ELK comes with all required mounting hardware and can be installed or removed by two people using common hand tools in about four hours. All components are packed in a foam-lined wheeled hard-shell case. 

The kit is airworthiness-qualified as mission equipment for CV-22 aircraft, and it can be easily modified for other cargo aircraft and other applications such as shelters. It's MIL-STD-810G compliant, and independent testing confirmed performance under V-22 environmental conditions including temperature, vibration, shock, acceleration, humidity, and blowing dust.
