We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. Duties:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data across various accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Participate in month-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, and financial report writing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects related to corporate finance or governmental accounting.
- Manage and support intra-company transfers (ICTs) and intercompany transactions, including cost allocations, eliminations, and reconciliations, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with government contracting requirements across multiple business units and subsidiaries.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Experience:
- Proven experience in corporate accounting with a focus on financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Experience with DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and audit support.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, DCAA, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Must have hands-on experience with accounting software Deltek CostPoint.
- Experience supporting intra-company transfers (ICTs) and intercompany transactions.
- Knowledge of intercompany cost allocations, eliminations, and reconciliations.
- Ability to ensure compliance and documentation for intercompany charges under government contracts.
- Experience coordinating with multiple business units or subsidiaries.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, accrual accounting, and journal entries.
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and financial report interpretation.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a solid foundation in financial concepts like budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
